Art of 9 announces their first group show. Nine award-winning area artists will host their first collective exhibition at McCord Gallery and Cultural Center, Art of 9: One.

What you will see is an exciting exhibition of incredible diversity. From subject matter to materials and techniques employed to communicate each artist's individual vision, this show promises to be a  joyful celebration of the creative spirit. 

Works by  artists Tony Armendariz, Vianne Korhorn, Dianne Martia, Eve Ozer, Jerri Reimann, Dennis Salaty, Michael Klaus Schmidt, Cheryl Ann Spran and Frank Tumino will be on exhibit.  On display will be works ranging from realism, abstract surrealism, pastel, watercolor, oil,  acrylic, collage, assemblage, to mixed media.

Art of 9: One opens at McCord Gallery and Cultural Center on Friday, March 9, 2012 and runs through April 22, 2012. An artist's reception will be held at McCord Gallery on March 23, 6:30-8:30. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Live music by Helen Blazie.

McCord Gallery and Cultural Center is located at 9602 W. Creek Road, Palos Park, IL 60464. Gallery hours are  Monday-Friday, 9am - 2 pm, Saturday, 11 am - 4 pm.
